Thera

Minoan ruins located on the island of Thera. The representation of Thera in the game is romanticized : the ruins in game are located on the smaller island of Nea Kameni, far from the real Minoan settlement that was located southward, at Akrotiri. Moreover, the violence of the eruption had no chance to left so much ruins, especially as the location is right in the middle of the volcano. As a comparison, the city of Akrotiri was totally buried, much like Pompeii, while it was around ten kilometres from the epicentre.

Beside the developers chose to show the island totally abandoned, while there was in the classic times a spartan settlement on the east cost of the island, at Mesa Vounó.
