Although it’s not quite clear in game, this passage probably represent the battle of the Pharos between Caesar and Arsinoë IV in 47 BC. Caesar and his ally Cleopatra were then besieged in Alexandria by the forces of Ptolemy XIII and Arsinoë IV. Caesar tried to break out by seizing the harbour, but failed to do so ; cornered near the Pharos, he barely escaped by swimming to safety.
Arsinoë is not mentioned in the game, it seems the developers have preferred to focus on Ptolemy (who was not present at this battle) as the main rival of Cleopatra, while the reality was more complex.
